Fire Containment Update

July 2, 2020 7:50 am

Fire at 97% containment. Hoping for 100% containment today.

  • What does containment mean? A control line has been created along that percentage of the perimeter of the fire. Control lines can reasonably be expected to stop the spread of the fire. The ultimate goal will be 100% containment.
  • Containment does not mean that the fire is out. Once the fire is contained the fire department will be busy putting out hot spots in the area until there are no more hot spots.
  • Please stay off of Lake Mountain until further notice.
