SantaSaratoga Springs has fun activities all month long to help you celebrate the holiday season. From special story times and craft days in the library to visits from Santa and musical concerts that the whole family will enjoy. There is sure to be something that will become your family's tradition.

Holiday Home Decorating Contest

A house lit up for ChristmasYou don't need to leave the city to see fabulous homes decorated for the holidays.  

  • December 4 - December 24

Event Details

  • Maps of participating homes will be available December 3
    • To access the interactive map and voting 
  • Citizens will be able to vote for their favorite homes till December 24. 
    • Winners will be announced on Social Media the beginning of January
    • Prizes are:
      • 1st Place $300.00 prize and sign to put in your yard.
      • 2nd Place $200.00 prize and a sign to put in your yard.
      • 3rd Place $100.00 prize and a sign to put in your yard.

Scavenger Hunt

  • Print off the scavenger hunt sheet 
    • After you have completed your sheet, drop it off in the box by the Christmas tree in the front lobby of City Hall to be entered in our Family Fun Gift Basket give away. (1 entry per person)

Silent Santa


  • Saturday December 4
  • Time TBA
  • Neptune Park 

Event Details

Silent Santa is one of the events included in Celebrate in Saratoga. This is a time for people with special needs to meet Santa Claus without all of the hustle and bustle that normally goes with the holiday season.

  • Participants will be able to sign up for an individual 10 minute time slot with Santa.
  • Parents will be able to add notes to registration to let Santa know the best way to interact with their child.
  • Parents with multiple children, please sign up for 1 time slot for everyone to visit with Santa
  • Parents can bring any extended family that they would like to have there during their time slot.
  • This event is for all special needs individuals who are wanting to see Santa in a no stress environment. There is no age limit on this event.

Food Trucks will be at Neptune Park 5-8pm by the City Christmas Tree.

  • Go get dinner or some yummy treats from the food trucks at Neptune Park, then go check out the homes participating in the Holiday Home Decorating Contest. 
    • Trucks Expected are: 
  • Vote for your favorite home.
  • Don't forget to print the scavenger hunt sheet and turn in your completed sheet at city hall to be entered in our prize drawing.

Presented by the Westlake Student Council

Christmas Jars is the annual charitable fundraiser run by students at Westlake High School. Stuff the Jar night is a holiday event put on by the students.   All proceeds from Christmas Jars and Stuff The Jar Night go to help families in need right here in Saratoga Springs. (Sponsored by the Saratoga Springs Youth Council)

The Saratoga Springs library will have a different craft that they will hand out each week. 

Help us decorate the tree in the city hall lobby. The craft the first week is an ornament. Turn your completed ornament back in at the library and they will hang it on the lobby tree so all can enjoy it. 

  • Nov. 30 - Dec 5: Ornament Craft Kits
  • Dec. 7-12: Paper Chain Santa
  • Dec. 14-19: Reindeer Craft
  • Dec. 21-27: Christmas Tree Ornament
