[ARCHIVED] Amber LeFors

Amber LeFors

Amber LeFors was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania – a city right on the border of Lake Erie. She is the youngest of six children. Her parents and half of her siblings still reside in Erie so it tends to be the location of most of their vacations, much to her husband’s chagrin.

Amber attended Ricks College (BYU-Idaho), where she earned her Associates Degree in Office Systems Management and Arts & Sciences. She has been married to Glenn for almost 23 years. They have two daughters (19 & 21) who are both currently living at home.

One of Amber’s favorite decompressors is giving her undivided attention in her kitchen trying out new recipes and making them taste, oh so good! This has been a bit of a challenge lately since she was recently diagnosed with a high sensitivity to wheat and cow’s milk. This has limited her on many things she used to enjoy making and eating.

Zao Asian Café is a new favorite place to eat because it is friendly to Amber’s new food sensitivities. She is excited to see this café soon coming to Saratoga Springs. Among other favorites, Amber’s family went to Disneyland for the first time 5 years ago and LOVED it! She says it is a magical place and it didn’t hurt that her family won the trip off the radio, so it was mostly free.

Amber is one of our Administrative Assistants in the Public Works Department. She claims she knows a little about a LOT and enjoys helping out wherever she can. Amber has a cheerful deposition and is caught smiling often. Some may say she enjoys working here because of her short commute as a resident, but the real reason is she likes working with the wonderful people surrounding her.
